Food Review: "Sweetie Pie's at the Mangrove"

The staff at this restaurant is just as hilarious as portrayed on television. Sweetie Pie's at the Mangrove is located at 4270 Manchester Ave., St. Louis, MO. The setup resembles a school cafeteria where servers fix your plate and pass it along the line. This place is known for it's "damn good fried chicken." You can select different pieces of fried chicken, multiple sides, and your choice of bread. As you can see I chose wings, green beans, candied yams, and cornbread. The experience made me feel as though I was sitting in my grandmother's kitchen instead of a place of business. All of the food was fresh and yummy. The staff was very kind and gentle. Bad news: I visited during Spring Break and didn't get a chance to meet the owner, Miss Robbie.
